January 19, 2021

Of the many exciting initiatives in the works for 2021, we are thrilled to announce our Visiting Scholars in Residence program as part of our Research Hub - commencing January 2021!

At Egale, we believe that the facilitation of community-based research connections between university scholars and researchers and LGBTQI2S communities across Canada is essential to breaking down barriers and moving our society forward.

Of the first two resident scholars joining us later this month, research will be conducted around a). anti-Black racism, racial injustices, and the challenges faced by Black queer communities across Canada, and b). intersex human rights in Canada.

Egale's Research Hub serves as a digital repository for LGBTQI2S-related research conducted by Canada-based scholars and communities. Here you will find research briefs aimed at making LGBTQI2S research accessible and useable across social services networks. This is also a space to connect LGBTQI2S advocacy and support organizations with researchers working across academic disciplines and institutions.

We are thrilled to position Egale as a centre of excellence in LGBTQI2S research and studies.
